Wedding season is in full swing and with wedding season comes parties to plan, showers to host, invitations to coordinate, gifts to give, favors to finalize…we all know (whether you are a bride, a bridesmaid, a MOH or just part of the family and friend circuit)…the list goes on and on.

We know how important it is to our brides and their bridal parties to make all the planning steps from engagement to the big day unique, special…and hopefully fun. Inspiration comes from everywhere these days, too, on ways to make the way the parties along the way to the big day feel personal.

Need inspiration on how to ask your bridesmaids to stand by your side on the big day? Create a custom card on stationery and give to your girlfriends over brunch or pair a personalized Will You Be My Bridesmaid card with a creative gift that she will love.

Planning a bachelorette party this summer? Whether you are the MOH with all the duties or  attending one, we know sometimes it feels like a lot to get done to make sure your besties day…really is the best! There are so many ways to keep it simple, but make it personal.

There are so many creative ways to throw a great party for her and make it unique based on her favorite things in life and also incorporating things that represent the couple.

One of our own recently had a Bachelorette party and we loved the "Throwdown in Texas" theme that ran all the way from the weekend itinerary card to the bag tag to the cups and napkins.

Matching SCOUT bags were cute gifts for the girls and will also be incorporated in the wedding when all the girls are getting ready together.

Planning a bachelorette party at the beach? Personalized spikers are ALWAYS a hit to bring out to the beach and make for great picture.

The key to remember though amongst all the planning, whether you are the MOH or the bride herself is to just enjoy this part of the engagement. Gather your inspiration and start to create your personalized gifts, favors, invites, and partyware with us.

PS–Getting married or know someone that is? Sign up for our Bridal Showcase

It's Wedding Season!

Every year, Swoozie's hosts a Bridal Showcase at each of our locations. On this special day, we invite soon-to-be-brides (and her crew) into our stores for a chance to meet our staff, get acquainted with the many gift, invitation, and personalization options available at Swoozie's, and most importantly help you get excited about the wedding planning journey. The afternoon is filled with fun raffle prizes (think kate spade new york and Lilly Pulitzer); vendor meet-and-greets (local calligraphers, photographers, florists and more); and — the most coveted prize — a chance to win free wedding invitations. If you've been to one of our Bridal Events, you know it's not like every Bridal Event at a convention center. The Swoozie'd up version is much more fun and interactive and a great opportunity to get a head-start on your wedding planning.

From the photos below, you can tell we had a blast getting to know all the brides and helping them plan their perfect wedding day. We treated them to sweet treats and pink bubbly (because what Swoozie's celebration is complete without those?), while they got some great advice from our wedding-trend experts.

Our next Bridal Showcase is coming up at the end of June. Be sure to check out our Facebook page on what day your local Swoozie's will be hosting one. Sign up, grab your MOH, the MOB, or the groom-to-be and save the date!

Before you Say I DO, Let us Swoozie You.

Make Mother's Day Extra Special

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, many of us find ourselves thinking about how we can make this day extra special for the moms in our lives. Two weeks ago we posted about gift ideas for moms, but today’s theme is focused on different ways to make mom feel loved and appreciated. These women have provided constant unconditional love and support for their families, and this is a time to celebrate all that they do.  And don't forget grandmothers! They deserve love and gratitude on this special day, too.

Here are our favorite simple yet effective ways to make any mom (or grandma!) feel extra special on Mother's Day.

1. Fresh Flowers

It may seem a bit overdone or cliché, but with good reason -- everyone loves fresh flowers! They can brighten up any room in an instant, and they even make a perfect centerpiece for brunch (more on that later). If you don't know mom's favorite kind of flower, opt for a colorful springtime bouquet, or ask your local florist what he or she recommends! For a nice touch, put the flowers in an attractive vase, like our Happy Everything Pitcher.

2. A Handwritten Note

A handwritten note goes a long way these days. People appreciate the fact that you took the time to write down something heartfelt, rather than sending a generic e-card. Take this opportunity to write down what your mom means to you and how much you appreciate her. She'll definitely save this one in her keepsake box.

3. Breakfast in Bed

Even if your mom wasn't big on home-cooked meals while you were growing up, it was thanks to her you had food on your plate every night at dinnertime. Return the favor and provide her a home-cooked breakfast before she even gets out of bed. Serve it on this special Happy Platter from Swoozie's, and don't to brew some fresh coffee. She will feel so pampered and loved!

4. A Sentimental Photo

If you want to get mom something she'll truly cherish, dig through your old photo albums to find a nice picture of you and her, or even the whole family. Make a copy and frame it so she can hang it up in the house or her office. We especially love this Family Door Hanger Frame - you don't have to mess around with nails or hammers, you can just conveniently hang it on the doorknob!

We want to see how you celebrate Mother's Day! Share your special photos with us on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #SoSwoo for the chance to be featured on our social media accounts!

Let's Get Personal!

If you know anything about Swoozie's, you know that we're more or less in love with personalization. A gold glittery water bottle is great, but a gold glittery water bottle with your monogram stamped on it? Even better. If you're the same way, we have good news: You can personalize almost anything at Swoozie's. That's right - journals, coffee mugs, tumblers, totes, cosmetics bags, you name it! You can get your initials put on a number of items we sell at Swoozie's right in-store.

Not only do we offer in-store personalization on bags and drinkware, but we also allow special orders to personalize items like necklaces, bangles, and even cufflinks. So no matter how crazy your initials are, you can always place an order at Swoozie's and get your monogrammed jewelry in a timely fashion.

In honor of our love of personalization, here's a round-up of our favorite personalized items at the moment. Whether you're on the lookout for a Mother's Day present, a gift for Teacher Appreciation Week, or just shopping for yourself, there's an item for everyone on this list!

Our Favorite Items from ban.do's New Collection!

Ban.do has always been a favorite brand of ours at Swoozie's. The colorful and playful products in this new line are just too much fun to resist, especially with summertime right around the corner. And lucky for you, the entire new ban.do collection is now available at swoozies.com and at your local Swoozie's store!

Brilliant Gifts for the Graduating Class of '15

It's been a long time since most of us graduated from high school or college, so picking out the perfect graduation gift isn't always the easiest task. We know this can be a tough and intimidating process, so we gathered up some of our most commonly asked questions regarding grad gifts! If you have a different question that we can assist you with, don't hesitate to reach out to us at  pizazz@swoozies.com. We're always happy to help you find that special gift for a loved one!

Q: My daughter has a group of very special friends. She has known them since she was in grade school, and I feel like they are my daughters. What are some special gifts that she can give?

A: Personalized gifts are always very thoughtful because it shows you thought of each person and took the time to make it personal. Three major categories come into play as great gifting.

First, consider gifting items they might use in the dorm.

1. You can never go wrong with a personalized cosmetic case. Every girl needs one, and they'll love it even more if it's personalized.

2. Classy phone chargers make great gifts, as well. Our mobile chargers are not only cute, but also compact and convenient!

Second, we love gifting girls items they'll be able to use for summer travel plans.

3. A toiletry roll like this neon one from BLVD is a fun and practical gift!

4. A pink glitter tumbler is something a girl will definitely tote back and forth to class in college. You can even personalize this one for a special touch!

Lastly, we are big fans of gifts used for going back and forth between home and school on those short weekends.

5. Laundry bags are a great option! They're totally necessary in college, but they don't have to be dull and boring. We sell laundry bags in plenty of fun colors and even offer personalization.

6. An all-occasion tote bag always makes for a great gifts for girls. The gold and white chevron tote we picked out is stylish enough to take out for an evening and tough enough to take the beach!

A: Great question! Swoozie's has plenty of gifts that are both special and practical for daily use. Here are our favorites:

1. Every guy needs a handy, personalized, insulated cooler

2. Smathers & Branson collegiate key fobs are great gifts for the recent high school graduate heading off to college.

3. A personalized money clip is definitely practical and stylish.

4. A sturdy, reliable duffle bag will never go out of style.

A: We know it can be tough when you have a long list of graduates to buy gifts for, but don't let that intimidate you! You can still buy great gifts that kids will love on a tight budget. Here are 5 of our favorite gift options in the $30 price range:

1. Something collegiate themed makes a great gift. Get phone chargers or Tervis tumblers that match the college they're attending in the fall.

2. Everyone loves a selfie pole! They're our number one best-selling gift this year, and definitely on every grad's wish list.

3. Travel mugs with fun, inspirational sayings are cute and simple!

4. A personalized acrylic box is such a versatile gift. She can use it to store jewelry, knick knacks, or even post-it notes!

5. Canvas cosmetic bags will only cost you $10 -- and for another $10 dollars, you can personalize them!

Q: My son has several friends that are girls that have been an important part of his high school friendships. I have only had boys, so I’m not sure what is appropriate. Do you have any recommendations?

A: A guy doesn’t want to give a gift that is too feminine or personal. Here are 5 brilliant options:

1. Lilly Pultizer key fobs make for great gifts -- they're not too personal, but definitely cute and fun!

2. Towel wraps are thoughtful and practical. Girls can wear them anywhere from the beach to the pool to even the college dorms!

3. A personalized water bottle is another great, casual gift.

4. Fill a Lilly Pulitzer insulated cooler with some drinks or a grocery gift card, and you've got a perfect gift!

5. Help her stay cool with a twill cotton cap in a fun color, like Mint.

6. Tervis tumblers are timeless gifts. She'll always use it because they never go out of style!

A Colorful Kids Easter Celebration

A few weeks ago, we told you how to host the perfect family Easter brunch. But what if your guest list includes a majority of kids? As any party planner worth her salt knows, you have to cater to the crowd -- and if you have a crowd of kids, your décor should be as colorful and entertaining as they are!

That's why we partnered with our friend Amy from Amy's Party Ideas to throw an Easter party worthy of kids of all ages. As a mom, she knows what kids like, and Swoozie's has all the items she needs to keep them happy. Follow our tips below to recreate this Easter bunny bash at home!

Amy used our Easter Egg Hunt kit to add some colorful pizzazz to the kids table. You can get double-use out of these by placing them around the yard after brunch to help the little ones find the eggs!

We can't get enough of these stripey orange plates! They put regular old paper plates to shame. Amy also placed a gorgeous paper flower garland on the table to tie in some more springtime colors.

Kids will love sipping out of these Easter Bunny paper cups. And if you really want to make the little ones happy, fill these adorable bunny gift bags with treats! Is there anything a child loves more than a goodie bag? We don't think so.

We love how Amy creatively used these Easter stickers on her tablescape. Just place the stickers of your choice on either side of a straw, and stick the straw into a planter for an adorable, kid-friendly centerpiece. Another idea is to use the stickers on dyed eggs!

You don't want to use your best silverware at the kids table, but there's no reason plastic flatware has to be dull. Add some vibrance to the tablescape with pastel-colored flatware or even gold flatware!
